population development

projection of population development

Following the IE ’s reference scenario, which uses United Nations population development projections, the population of India will grow strongly up to 2050, reaching 2,200 million people, one quarter of the world’s population. fter 2040 we expect the population growth to decline to an annual average of 0.4%. This continuing growth will put additional pressure on energy resources and the environment.
